I already have this rose, but I love it so much that I bought another one last year. This cutting took off right from the start, is a good 2’ around and already gave me a couple of bloom. I adore her! The blooms are big and blousy, with a strong old rose scent. I currently have about 60 roses and she is in my top 3 favorites.

In my garden in New Orleans, this is a once a year bloomer not twice a year, but it’s a healthy vigorous bush and it’s well worth waiting for the blooms because during the month or so that it blooms, the fragrance is absolutely amazing. The description has its size as 6-7 feet and mine remained that size for the first few years af ter I planted it, but this summer it decided to be ten feet. Should be amazing next spring.

I had a Madame Isaac Pereire in my garden for two seasons, just long enough to see what a gorgeous rose it could be. Unfortunately, I lost this rose to RRD last summer. I’ve ordered another and can’t wait to see and smell those lovely blooms again. It’s very healthy and vigorous and the blooms are amazing.

Healthy foliage and vigorous growth and seems to be happy even in part shade.

Fragrance is second to none! I also love it’s color. My only wish is that it would bloom more. It has a strong spring flush but next to nothing else after that. I’ve only grown it as a climber. I will try growing it as a shrub and see if that is any better.
