I received a healthy, own-root rose today. So happy to add La Reine Victoria to my garden! The foliage looks great and the little rose seems happy. I plan to repot to a larger pot for the winter and plant in the spring. I was also thrilled with how quickly HCR sent this out to me. Thank you!

A really pretty pink rose! I love bourbons, and this rose does have multiple flushes in my garden.

This rose is in its 4th year in my garden. It is very tall, over 6′. I usually don’t like to cut roses from the bushes but fragrance is so good, that I couldn’t resist to cut one flower and put it in the vase, next to my laptop, while I am working, I can smell some of my garden.

I planted this rose 32 years ago. The blooms are medium in size with a beautiful rose fragrance. About ten years ago a Mimosa tree came up on its own right next to La Reine. I let the tree be and it appeared that the tree had swallowed up La Reine. To my surprise, La Reine climbed straight up that tree and continues to bloom above the tree branches, at about a 20 ft height. It’s incredible how she adapted and the strength of that rose. I can’t reach the flowers because it now only flowers above the tree branches. It is a delight to see. A really beautiful, resilient and romantic flower. I need to plant another one that my nose can reach.
