Damask (Unknown, before 1949)

Discovered in the rolling hills of Iran’s Guilan province, this rose has a strong, lasting, fragrance that lends itself to potpourri and attar distillation. Large, quartered, and loosely double light pink blossoms cover this sprawling shrub in the late spring.

Vigorous growth with many small thorns. Healthy foliage, and for me, very fragrant and very double blooms.

The roses came in healthy and well packaged, very happy with these roses so far. Have slowly exposed them to the intense New Mexico sun and they are settling in better than many other roses from various sources I have purchased in the past. Would recommend.
