    Barbara Bowen – April 3, 2024

I ordered this rose in 2019 and for a few years it puttered along in my rose bed alongside the other pink roses. In 2022 it got big. Last year it became a six foot by seven foot monster, with hundreds of blooms that kept coming for well over a month. It also grew thorns. But wow, the blooms. More in six weeks than most modern roses have all summer. And yes, fragrant.

    Henry – April 24, 2024

The size description is incorrect as the previous reviewer can attest. I purchased a grafted version from Pickering Nursery a while back that grew to about 7′ x 7′. I purchased the HCR own root hoping it will bee more restrained. Yes, it is covered with fragrant blooms when it matures. Worth the wait. Not to be missed.

Michelle Briggs (verified owner) – April 25, 2025

This rose is a beast when it’s happy. I started it out in a large planter, but it quickly outgrew that, so I moved it to the ground later that year. It gets huge arching canes easily 7-8 ft long. Prolific bloomer in the spring. The scent is wonderful. Very healthy.
