Carl Shulman –
In Albuquerque, this rose is one of the best I’ve ever grown. The fragrance is so strong it perfumes the house, and garden, and the blooms are the most stunning color and form. If I had to choose one rose among all, really, this tops the list, and I’ve grown nearly 100 roses over the years, selecting for fragrance and form. Note: Albuquerque and the southern Rockies are at 6000 feet, get very little precipitation; the garden is on a drip system which keeps the feet happy and there is no threat of blackspot, rust, mildew, or any other icky things that roses tempt in wetter locales. We are rose heaven here.
