Little Rhody

$25.95

Large Shrub (Andy Vanable, United States, before 2023)

So I have to admit that I’m “winging” it a bit with some of the details about this rose.  Prior to his passing in 2023, Andy sent me cuttings of two roses that he wanted me to propagate for the American Rose Society’s 2024 National Convention in his home state of Rhode Island.  I’m so glad we were able to do so, but we are still testing and gathering information about Little Rhody.  My suspicion is that this is a large shrub rose.  Andy used multiflora and musk roses in a lot of his hybridizing and Little Rhody shows characteristics of both.  A cluster blooming machine, light pink flowers repeat bloom reliably all summer.  The scent is light in my opinion and the rose is lightly thorned.  So far, it has not show disease susceptibility.

We would love it if you could share your experiences with this rose.  Click HERE to contact us.
