  1. Rated 5 out of 5

    Angela Patterson – December 3, 2023

Rio Samba is one of my favorites. It opens mostly yellow with a bit of orange at the tips. As it ages the center remains yellow, but the orange increases on the edges and the red gets added. Then as it ages more, the petals turn mostly dark pink with a touch of yellow at the center. The old, nearly falling apart blossoms have petals that turn mauve. It’s just gorgeous! Every day, the same blossom is a different combination of colors and it’s fascinating to watch it change. Also, it blooms in clusters, so these incredible flowers really put on a show.

    Nadiia – August 25, 2024

I have interesting relationship with this rose. She gets ‘rust’ in winter and looks so ugly, that I swear every time to dig it out, while I am cutting out diseased canes. Than in spring, she lets out new canes and starts blooming and flowers and fragrance are so gorgeous, that I can’t bring it over me, to get her out.

I give 5 stars for the beauty of her blooms. Really stunning!
