Hybrid Tea (William A. Warriner, United States, 1991)
Creates an absolutely brilliant display of color in the garden. Vibrant blooms of golden yellow are accented by hues of orange and scarlet. Blooms come early on this prolific bloomer and are most vivid with cooler temperatures. Foliage is dark green and quite disease resistant.

Angela Patterson –
Rio Samba is one of my favorites. It opens mostly yellow with a bit of orange at the tips. As it ages the center remains yellow, but the orange increases on the edges and the red gets added. Then as it ages more, the petals turn mostly dark pink with a touch of yellow at the center. The old, nearly falling apart blossoms have petals that turn mauve. It’s just gorgeous! Every day, the same blossom is a different combination of colors and it’s fascinating to watch it change. Also, it blooms in clusters, so these incredible flowers really put on a show.
