Midnight Blue

Rated 5.00 out of 5 based on 1 customer rating

$21.95

Floribunda (Carruth, United States, 2004)

A black velvet purple with spicy clove fragrance like no other rose on the market. Despite being a shrub, the compact rounded plant will lend itself to smaller spaces and enrich any landscape. Bright green leaves contrast nicely to the mysteriously colored flowers & showy yellow stamens. Big clusters give lots of color. Deeper color & bigger blooms in cooler temps.

I have to agree with their description that this is unlike any rose you are used to. The blooms transition from this deep purple almost red to an almost violet magenta hue. The color is so bright and vibrant in Hawaii temperatures. The roses are definitely on the small side for a rose but if you like to collect purple rose varieties, this is a very interesting addition. On any given day over the last few months I have had over a dozen blooms to enjoy.
