Koko Loko™

$27.95

Floribunda (Christian Bédard, United States, 2010)

The cocoa is creamy like latte. But the latte goes loco to finish all lavender! You just can’t imagine a milky chocolate-colored bud would mature to be a solid soft lavender blossom. Early to bloom, every lovely bud spirals open with impeccable show form. The flowers last long on the plant and in the vase. Beyond its novelty, there lies a great plant….rounded, handsome & bushy…chock full of clean green leaves.

Lovely rose. Look almost like a painting .From March to June provided 3 blooms ,in Ca heat the cafe aux lait color slowly faded to dusty pink.Just beautiful ,healthy plant.

A showstopper in the garden. Truely a beautiful specimen with it’s stunningly unique coloring. Wish I had bought more than one!

Very beautiful color and prolific bloomer. It has been blooming since I planted it this year in April. Always full of buds and never out of flowers. Flowers do not fade easily in zone 9b.

  4. Carrie Valenzuela

I love Koko loco. She is healthy and a great bloomer. I have sent multiple people to HC for this particular rose, and they have had the same experience!

Koko loko is one of the most beautiful roses. She starts out as this beautiful coffee color and then turns into a lavendar/mauve type color. She’s stunning and I have at least 7 of her in the garden with more on the way!

First year rose review, spring 2023, zone 5b. From this order I purchased: Princess Charlene de Monaco, Koko Loko, Reine Des Violettes, Firefighter, Top Cream, Bolero, Ebb Tide, Apricot Twist, and Quicksilver. Quicksilver wasn’t ready by the early ship date so I switched it with Bliss. The order was packed well and shipped quickly. Everything arrived healthy and I was very happy with this experience (first order from High Country and first time ordering band roses). I kept them in an unheated greenhouse until June, then moved out to a raised bed that I had planned to grow them out for the first year or so until I move them out to their permanent spot. It’s my second year growing roses and first experience with bands. Although the plants are small I was able to try more varieties within my budget. The flowers on Koko Loko are absolutely beautiful! This has become my daughter’s favorite rose so far! I’d have to say she is definitely one of my favorites too! The plant as a whole is still small, but has remained healthy.

Beautiful color, but not very disease resistant in my tough Western North Carolina environment.

Must say, this one is a keeper and it’s one of my most healthiest roses! I have 4 other koko lokos from various vendors that were all very mature. When I received this Koko Loko from HCR, I expected it to be slow and thought it would one day catch up to the others. It is the most prolific one I have out of the group! Larger, more flowers, healthier leaves – this one gave me so many blooms this season during its first year! Comparing that to my mature koko lokos that are already 3-4 years old. Thanks HCR!!

A very unusual rose color, love this rose!

One of my absolute favorite roses! The color is hands down STUNNING! The creamy latte to lavender is perfection.

Can’t decide if I love this roses or not – the color varies so much. So far mine have been poop brown to a lovely lavender mauve. It gets another year in my garden zone 6b/7a.

I am very excited to see this rose bloom, but it is such a very slow grower. It has put forth some tiny buds, but I removed them so more energy would go towards the growth of the plant. The amount of buds gives me high hopes for when it gets bigger – it looks to be very enthusiastic, but it needs to catch its stride more than others I’ve planted.

Fantastic rose with beautiful blooms, the color is lovely. A pleasant creamy tone that blends well with other roses. Hardy in my zone and has done well so far. Puts on good growth and responds to the environment well. Love Koko Loko.

Super happy with my purchase. I bought 2 koko loco. Plants arrived in excellent condition. Very happy with how they were packaged. Already had a lovely bloom on each plant. Bloomed true to pics

I am new to roses, this was the first rose I purchased along with Dark Night. I am so happy with my purchase of Koko Loko, she bloomed like crazy for such a little plant. The blooms were bigger than the plant! It also put out good growth and really started to take off after the heat of the summer. I planted it on the East side of my house and it seems like it is really happy there. I live in zone 6a, high desert of Utah. The blooms are beautiful and fun to see how the colors change each day. Blooms last a long time too! I can’t wait to see what it does next year. Thanks High Country for a great experience!

Absolutely beautiful color! Will be a perfect flower for the color of the year in 2025, mocha mousse! Plants arrived during my preferred shipping time in very good condition. I would recommend

One of my absolute favorite roses. I bought 2 in the spring and it bloomed the first month all way to fall. I wish we could post pics. Beautiful for wedding work or if you just love a more muted color palette

One of 4 new roses I added to my collection this year from high country and it is the one that produced the most blooms and the most gorgeous color. I grow and sell specialty cut flowers, this rose is so versatile and blends beautifully with Dahlias. Most likely buying a few more to add this year.

Received happy healthy plants that grew great with no problems. Koko has such a unique color. I love it and plan to order more!

I just received her less than a month ago, and she’s already blooming! Just gorgeous!

We ordered Koko along with two others in the spring. They are all healthy and growing rapidly. This Koko is breathtaking! Thanks, Highcountry!

The one I got was tiny. This is it’s second year and it’s still tiny. Like 10 inches tall, but it produced 3 huge, perfect blooms. They look fake they’re so perfect. Maybe it needs more sun, but it’s in a protected spot and survived 20 below weather so I don’t want to mess with it. I do want another, and if it’s tiny I’ll keep it in a pot for awhile. It is the most ridiculously pretty rose. Doesn’t look real.

  24. Alicia Nguyen (verified owner)

The colors on this rose are beautiful! Slower grower compared to a few other bands I planted this spring, but even when tiny this rose was putting out a few blooms. I cut a few blooms right before our first frost and they lasted more than 5 days in a vase. I love this rose so much that I bought 4 more to fill out a bed!

  25. Deanna (verified owner)

The color constantly shifts, reading lavender one moment and warm coffee the next. My plant did not thrive overall, but the blooms I did get were incredible, and I loved them enough that I am absolutely going to try again.
