Golden Showers is a 20yr old bush/tree. Give it space to fill out and spread. Not very thorny and the leaves are always a pleasant forest green. Sturdy would be how I describe GSers. Not spectacular , just a work horse that I have done nothing to except trim out of my walkway. Flowers are good for cutting and last about a week in the vase. Zone 9B CA
