OH BOY. Florentina! If you want a rambler that rambles like no rambler has rambled before, this is the rose for you! Huge arching canes, with a spread of at least ten feet in all directions. I have her on a fence, and she escapeth. Her vigor is without bounds. And her flowers are long-lasting and beautifully shaped and come in perfect ready-made bouquets. No fragrance at all. Nice hips. Great rose but you need a lot of space for this one, at least in North Carolina (installed in 2020).

This rose is super-vigorous in my garden. It sends up so many canes, It’s earned the nickname “The Kraken”. It has a huge spring flush and then a couple of smaller flushes. The flowers are beautiful, very red and round. I’m very happy with this rose!

Florentina is the BEST RED climbing rose ever! I”m in Texas 9a and it’s going on 4 years old. It’s huge and vigorous. Best flush is spring and blooms thought the season even in triple digit heat. Mine is ground in ground in full sun. It even survived the artic freeze we had uncovered. Cluster of 3-5 start forming more in year 2 and now I have clusters of over 35 buds on one cane. You can literally place an entire cane in a vase and done. light fragrance and if you pegged the rose and canes you get more roses. A must have in any garden.

What can I say about this rose! How can I put into words the exquisite, deep, rich red blooms she sends in heavy flushes all through the season? A climber with leaves so shiny no fungus can date gain purchase on? Sign me up. Hardy to what zone, you say? Five? Oh yes. I got her a few years ago and this year she really took off, leaping over the arbor I thought to train her to. I love this rose so much.

This rose makes me melt. The true red old school blooms are perfection in clusters on a climber way too big for her obelisk in my 5b garden. Her full year, I think there might have been 1 bloom, but this year she was magnificent with tons of blooms frequently. One of my favorites and so easy and healthy and happy. I love her hips, too.

I’ve been looking for this rose everywhere, it’s that beautiful and rare! She blooms like crazy and her blooms get bigger with age, she is sooo huge and this beautiful climber was my dream, I’m so happy I found her here and now I enjoy her blooms. It’s truly a dream come true that I bought her here. My friends in Europe grow her over the arch bench. 8a SC
