The flower is very pretty. High Country Rose’s customer service is SUPERB!

This is one of my favorite miniature roses because the blooms are so tiny and so perfectly shaped. The color is just the right shade of peachy pink and it’s a tidy, upright plant. After being reasonably hardy for several winters I thought I’d lost it over last winter because I couldn’t find it in spring, but when we pulled out the overgrown and damaged snowball bush next to where Jean Kenneally was planted, there it was sending up a brave little shoot with a bud on top. As soon as the obnoxious bush was gone she was right back to growing and thriving and putting out flush after flush of pretty little blooms. I’m sure she’ll do fine next winter.

I’ve had my Jean Kenneally for around 25 years. She lived in the ground in Chicago for a couple of years, and has been in a pot for 23 years in SoCal (inland – zone 9b). She gets a minimum of care – water, fertilizing when I remember, dead heading, and maybe a good pruning every couple of springs, and she always has tiny, perfect blooms. Gorgeous, tough, undemanding – she she’s very deserving of her high ARS rating (8.9).
