Gallica (Louis-Joseph-Ghislain Parmentier, Belgium, before 1842)
Regal mauve double blooms with carmine red and a shade of white in the center. Blooms are lightly fragrant and medium in size. The shrub is incredibly tough and a little larger than most gallicas. Will tolerate some shade and is reliably disease resistant.
