Loosely packed pink blooms with a lighter silvery reverse create a swirl of color on this classic China rose. Blooms are accented by a moderate tea scent. The shrub is manageable and attractively covered in rich blue green foliage. This rose definitely will need winter protection in colder climates. Name after Sicily’s Mt. Vesuvius volcano.

I’m in zone 7, NJ, and this rose is absolutely gorgeous. I planted it two summers ago, and it survived its first winter nicely with minimal dieback, despite a lot of freeze-thaw cycles in spring. My Le Vesuve is in dappled shade under a tall willow, and it seems happy there, judging by the number of flowers. I whole-heartedly recommend thls rose!
