China (Dubourg, France, before 1837)
Your eyes will do a double take with this classic Hybrid China rose. Often it’s shapely blossoms emerge in hues of deep crimson and pink only to age to pink and back to crimson again. The effect is a bush that appears to have many different colors all at once. Flowers repeat nicely through the season and feature a light but noticeable fragrance.
Pronounced: ahr-shee-dewk shahrl – from French Rose Names by Diana Bellucci

Beth –
Lovely rose. He arrived healthy and ready to plant. He’s not growing as fast as some, but he’s blooming regularly and has even, healthy growth. He’s a beautiful shade of pink. I’m very pleased!
Daun Elmore –
20 year old specimen – Own root rose. Zone 9B central valley CA – Give this rose time to grow, it is worth the wait. Blooms are multi colored pink, white, red. Blooms almost non stop in my garden. Tough rose planted in a HOT, dry – exposed hill. Clay soil, brutal conditions…Thrives like a champ. I recommend this survivor of old roses for those who want a dependable rose.
