I purchased five of these with no regrets! I absolutely love the way this rose gracefully weeps, and the stunning little apricot buds with white open flowers!

This plant is thriving in my 9a PNW garden.

This rose is a stunner! Gorgeous, ruffly petals. Buds start out the prettiest shade of salmon and open into hues of creamy white and the softest blush. One stem of blooms lasts for 1-2 weeks as the lower flowers open and the top buds continue to develop and eventually open. Strong canes get really tall, so I have it growing up an obelisk to highlight the beautiful blooms at eye level. A must grow for me!

I bought Sally Holmes back in 1998ish, right after I moved to this house. In the years following, I got busy raising my children and didn’t do much for poor Sally. I may have fertilized once in a while. Sally just kept on being gorgeous, though, with no help from me. Seriously, there were years when the only watering this rose got was when the kids played in the sprinkler. Nowadays it gets pampered and fussed over, but I’m not sure it makes much of a difference because this rose seems to always look fantastic no matter what. The flowers are just so beautiful.

Planted two Sally Holmes – Own root – sticks, in the front of my house on both sides of my front door – STUNNING! She blooms 12 months of the year – easily 15″ tall, I trim the sides only. Never have had disease, powers through the heat. West facing inferno, I water once a month. Zone 9B central CA…Love her!! Can see her from blocks away. If you have a white garden and room to grow her to full size. Sally Holmes is your pick.
