This is a must have rose. I’d heard it can take some shade so I put it in an awful spot next to a solid cedar fence where it had to grow up and over to reach the sunlight. It took three years but now it is glorious. I offense to the pictures but if I knew how to share one of mine I would. The blooms are full and romantic, nicely scented and the plant is healthy in my organic yard. I can’t imagine how good this rose would be if you put it in a top spot!

After two lavender roses pining away in my “eccentric” sunlight (lots in June and meh in December), Lavender Lassie has indeed risen to the occasion. Healthy and beautiful!

I’ve had this rose for over 20 years. Was looking a little worse for wear but this week I pruned it to shape up a bit and noticed new growth on all sides of the plant. Hooray for own root roses.
A lovely rose with a lovely fragrance
