Seagull

Rambler-Hybrid Wichuraiana (Maurice Prichard, United Kingdom, 1907)

Seagull rose produces large clusters of small, semi-double to single pure-white flowers with bright yellow stamens, all held in graceful sprays. The flowers emit a strong, sweet fragrance with warm notes, and later in the season, the plant develops small orange hips.  Its foliage is a soft grey-green, giving a delicate, refined texture to the climbing structure.

Note:  This rose is part of the American Rose Society’s “Save the Ramblers Initiative” focused on preserving the rare roses of Anne Belovich’s personal collection.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this rose will fund the ongoing preservation efforts of the American Rose Society.
