Exceptionally hardy!! I got this rose from Split Mountain Farms as a gallon size grown up from a High Country band, and it took right off. I planted it under a window to grow up and around both sides, and then my husband put in a swamp cooler and flooded the spot. Didn’t matter to Polestar. It just kept growing in the puddle. The pretty delicate blooms remind me of apple blossoms.

Ultra-hardy! Grew mine at 9,100’ along an 8’ privacy fence. Canes quickly reached over 10’. Remember to train those canes horizontally to promote more blooms.

Absolutely love this rose! I live in the Sierra Nevadas and our last frost date is June 21st. Polestar is unfazed by late frosts!

Polestar has flourished in my garden despite Wyoming’s harsh winters with cold drying winds. I bought a second polestar last year and planted it where I can’t get anything else to grow. It bounced back from the winter and appears to be perfectly happy in its inhospitable part of the yard.

This tough and carefree rambler is best in a wild part of your garden where it can be forgotten for a few years. Mine gets only afternoon sun right underneath a catalpa tree and a grapevine and grows and twines up into it. Never any winter damage. It’s habit and modest white flowers make it a safe choice for lots of garden settings.
