Showed up happy and healthy, and established itself quickly. It bloomed in its first year, which I was delighted about — beautiful sprays of purple blooms!

Stormy Weather had good winter hardiness and has done beautifully in my garden. The blooms are a striking combination of very dark purple, magenta reverse, and white at the very base of the petals with glowing golden stamens. It’s very thorny, and the canes are thick and sturdy, and the blooms handle poor weather well. Well named in my opinion.
