My Marilyn rose has been a real champ. She’s in a container, in full high desert sun here in Albuquerque NM, Zone 7 (Some Like It Hot, LOL!!). Many of my roses shut down in the heat, but not this gal, she is one tough cookie. The blooms are romantic and beautiful, and they hold their form well through the high temps… (I keep all my roses well watered). I’m a longtime fan of Marilyn Monroe the actress, and out of all the movie star roses, had to have this one!

This is an incredibly beautiful rose! She has been 100% healthy and I’ve been super happy with her large , luminous blooms.Zone 9a, purchased March 2022.

I love my Marilyn! A very beautiful perfectly formed bloom every time and she does very well in zone 6. This has been the second year for my Marilyn from High Country and the growth has been as impressive as the gorgeous large blooms. I also appreciate the care instructions your company provides and when I had a question about the growth you readily answered, so the customer service is as spectacular as the rose itself. So happy I came across High Country when searching for this particular rose, I can’t recommend enough!

This rose is STUNNING! I purchased mine in the spring and have had several blooms throughout the season.

She’s a fabulous rose. She blooms all summer with huge blooms. Last summer was very hot and dry and she thrived. she was still showing off in December just before our first hard freeze. I have her growing in a large pot with drip irrigation with no problems.

I so wanted this rose to thrive. My oldest son loves Marilyn Monroe. I bought it the same time I bought “Fun in the Sun” rose, which has gone on to be a beautiful producer of amazing roses unlike Marilyn Monroe that died the 2nd year. Both roses were planted same time.same place in my garden with loving care of water and Esponoma rose food.but Marilyn Monroe did not make it.

Marilyn Monroe is so beautiful! This rose was a little slower to take than some of my others, but next year she will surely shine. I live in a very very hot, very very dry climate in zone 8, where temps reach 100°+ for a few months in a row. My older Marilyn Monroe was a great sport, which is why I had to get a few more. One thing that is particularly impressive about this plant is how long the blooms stay looking pretty on the bush. One flower will hold beautiful form for two weeks sometimes before dropping petals; even in the extreme heat and when the petals have been bleached white by the sun.
