Named in honor of Patsy Gerling Cunningham – noted rosarian and Past President of the Rhode Island Rose Society. Patsy gave my son the rose (Abigail Adams Rose) that became the foundation for a line of highly-floriferous, often fragrant, and very disease-resistant roses. Patsy was also instrumental in believing in me and my abilities, and encouraging me to be the rosarian that I am today.
