Golden Wings

Rated 5.00 out of 5 based on 1 customer rating
(1 customer review)

$25.95

Shrub (Roy E. Shepherd, United States, before 1954)

There are few roses I look forward to more than Golden Wings.  Long pointed bud unfurl to reveal very large (5″) single blooms of cream yellow.  The blossoms are surprisingly fragrant for a single bloom.  The center is filled with distinct red stamens that are an open invitation to all pollinators.  The hardy shrub has neat, light green foliage and upright growth to 5 or 6 feet. Blooms steadily all season and will set large golden hips if not cut back.
