I have this planted in a good amount of shade and it is still a good bloomer for me, although it gets some blackspot (I don’t spray) in it’s shady site. The blooms last a really long time on the bush and are absolutely beautiful, although it has no fragrance that I can detect. I saw one that someone had trained as a climber because they didn’t have room to let it spread out on the ground and it was GORGEOUS! I might have to buy another one to try that.
