If your a man, don’t let the name Dainty Bess repel you from this iron clad rose. Dainty Bess is an unbelievable showstopper. It was breed in 1925 when the single rose was all the rage of the flappers. The ruffled, big soft pink ruffles, dramatically contrast with the big showy stamens, all to perfection. My rose arrived overnight packed well, with a small bud. Over the last week there is lots of healthy new growth. I love the many petaled English roses and then the contrasting three awesome singles/Simi singles like Dainty Bess, Scarlet Moss, and Mutables with its many single blooms that change colors daily looking like a flock of many colored butterflies. That one can even grow well in a Simi shaded garden. All three of these are part of my top favorite roses with Dainty Bess on top. I give my highest kudos to Matt, who couldn’t be kinder or more helpfully at customer service. A high thumbs up! 👍

A gorgeous rose (love the pink stamens) that blooms almost constantly, but for some reason for me highly prone to powdery mildew and not a vigorous grower (I’m in the Pacific Northwest, west of the Cascades). An enjoyable fragrance, too.

This rose is tough and beautiful, and the bees really do love it. It does very well for me in humid zone 7, clay soil, no spray. One of my favorites!
