MCO –
Big Billy Baffin is a stunner in my zone 5 garden in Colorado. He’s huge, covered with screaming pink blooms, and suckers moderately. Very hardy. Has been growing 15 years or so.

I’ve had this rose for over 20 years and it is a monster, covering my pergola with masses of pink blooms every June. It just grows and grows, putting out more canes every year. It is fragrant and hardy and thorny. Put it somewhere that it can really grow to its true potential and remember the thorns!

I planted two William Baffin roses in my garden over 30 years ago. It’s an amazing rose! Super hardy, disease resistant, with slight fragrance. It gets huge – mine is over 10 feet tall and it is a thorny rose. It’s part of the Canadian Explorer roses bred for hardiness in extreme cold climates. In my Zone 5B, Illinois, this rose blooms with such an amazing flush in June and sporadically, thereafter, it’s one of top 5 roses. Would highly recommend!
