Rosa palustris, commonly called The Swamp Rose, is an upright and arching species rose native to the swamps, marshes and waterways of North America. Stems are thorny with dark green pointed foliage. Blooms are deep pink and mildly fragrant in the early summer and attract a wide range of pollinators. Fall brings a show of orange red small hips.
