$25.95

Damask Perpetual (Jean-Pierre Vibert, France, 1845)

Very fragrant, medium pink, densely double flowers in summer and autumn.  As the blooms open, they reveal a tight center button so identified with historic roses. A bushy, 3 to 5 foot plant with long, narrow leaflets, it has the most reliable repeat and continuous bloom of all the Damask Perpetuals.

Pronounced: see-do-nee – from French Rose Names by Diana Bellucci

Joanna Tuck (verified owner) – July 13, 2022

This rose is such a delight! It established fast and put on the most adorable lavishly fluffy and fragrant blooms. It’s showing no crisping or wilting in 105F temperatures today and the foliage is beautifully healthy. It’s fast becoming one of my favorite roses.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

Updating my review to also note that Sidonie survived an extremely harsh winter with zero dieback and is the fastest rose to leaf out in my garden this spring. Highly recommended as a hardy cold zone rose!!

  3. Rated 5 out of 5

    Mary – November 21, 2023

EXCEPTIONAL fragrance. This rose has one huge blooming, and it is absolutely covered in blooms. Probably as many as a recurrent rose produces all season. Afterwards, if you feed and water it, and make an effort to deadhead, it will continue to produce some blooms. The color is a deep pink.

  4. Rated 4 out of 5

Catalina Flores (verified owner) – December 6, 2023

I love this rose! Prolific bloomer and fragrant. The button eye is perfect. It loves to be in full sun and prone to some rust if you live near the coast.

  5. Rated 5 out of 5

    Linda Carolan – December 10, 2023

A really wonderful rose; gorgeous deep pink silky buds open into the utmost charming blooms !

  6. Rated 5 out of 5

    Ernie DeMarie – March 10, 2024

Good grower and bloomer, the flowers are quite fragrant too. Has quite a few small thorns but worth it for the flowers and it branches well.
