Bolero

$27.95

Floribunda (Jacques Mouchotte, France, before 2003)

This rose absolutely packs the petals (100+) in it’s blooms.  Blooms come in clusters and are a fabulous white with a hint of yellow in the center.  Bolero’s scent is very strong rose with fruity notes.  Glossy green leaves provide a contrasting backdrop and disease resistance.  A great performer.

Bolero is a highly fragrant rose. I am gardening in zone 7b with high humidity and it withstands black spot. This is a great rose. For a video of the habit and bloom: https://youtu.be/PcP5_DEd8-c

My favorite rose. I own 6 of them,. All blooming constantly and its fragrance and shape is amazing.

Bolero is one of my favorite roses. Nonstop blooms, fragrance that fills the whole house when cut in a vase, lasts a long time in the vase, tidy shaped bush…what’s not to like?! It has respectable winter survival for me in zone 4, needed some pruning in spring but got going fast.

This little rose is still small in it’s second summer but keeps producing the most beautifully scented flowers. The only flaw is that they have short stems so I have to bring them indoors in a shot glass. I would not be without this rose ever. 5b Denver area.

First year rose review, spring 2023, zone 5b. From this order I purchased: Princess Charlene de Monaco, Koko Loko, Reine Des Violettes, Firefighter, Top Cream, Bolero, Ebb Tide, Apricot Twist, and Quicksilver. Quicksilver wasn’t ready by the early ship date so I switched it with Bliss. The order was packed well and shipped quickly. Everything arrived healthy and I was very happy with this experience (first order from High Country and first time ordering band roses). I kept them in an unheated greenhouse until June, then moved out to a raised bed that I had planned to grow them out for the first year or so until I move them out to their permanent spot. It’s my second year growing roses and first experience with bands. Although the plants are small I was able to try more varieties within my budget. Bolero did very well this first year, although not as well as Top Cream for me. I would still recommend this variety.

Received 10 for my front beds, beautifully packaged and all arrived healthy and happy, some even started blooming after being transplanted even though we’re heading into winter. Would 💯 purchase from High Country again!

  7. Mary Cookson

It’s not as vigorous as some, but it’s healthy and strong and the fragrance is amazing.

Thus rose has a hard time with blackspot in my Western North Carolina environment, but I feel that it would do better in a container than the ground.

This rose is growing taller before branching out for me. It arrived healthy and has bloomed beautifully fragrant flowers for me. Ca zone 9b

Bolero is a nonstop bloomer for me. It’s the best white rose I have with an amazing fragrance! Again it’s on my highly recommended roses list!

Bolero is a prolific bloomer for me in zone 6B. I have this one right next to Top Cream and I think prefer Boleros scent over Top Creams. Very similar in the fact that they’re nonstop bloomers. Amazed at how much they’re already blooming for being such small band sized roses!

Wonderful white rose with fragrance. Good performance in Texas heat.

I can’t wait for this rose to reach maturity, but it has already impressed me. At the end of its first summer, very close to autumn in Zone 5b, it got weed whacked to the ground… and came back the next year stronger than ever! Another reason to buy own root. It’s already got pretty blooms and a nice scent.

My Bolero from High Country Roses is so beautiful and strong. Truly compact rose in Texas zone 9A. Each flush is always lots of buds and the fragrance is fruity and lovely. Survived my Texas heat!

Ravishing elegant blooms , as perfect a rose as there could be.

Lovely rose, very healthy with big blooms and strong sweet fragrance. It bloomed in a couple months after I received it from HCR

I love this sweet smelling white rose! I grow mine in a pot as it stays a nice size and also makes a good border rose bush. It’s a continuous bloomer in my garden.

Such a little trooper of a rose. Puts out steady blooms all season with portals that come to the daintiest little points in the center. The scent is so perfectly those, it reminds me of fancy French soap. I grow it for my dad who loved roses and Ravel’s Bolero 😊

Beautiful, bright white rose with a nice fragrance. Slower growing than some around it, but did well in it’s first year. Zone 6, full sun.

I ordered Bolero this fall, so haven’t had him long. I got a few pretty blooms, and he has been a very healthy rose. I look forward to spring as I know he is going to become a favorite. A nice smaller sized plant, and I think would also be great in a container. I am thinking of ordering a few more. I am pleased with the healthy roses that High Country grows.

Bolero is a fantastic rose. Absolutely lovely bloom shape and color, highly fragrant and floriferous. I planted this small band three feet from south facing foundation in full sun, a really hot and punishing site, and it’s thriving. I’ve bought many roses from high country and every one has arrived healthy and has thrived after planting, despite their initial small size (expected for a band).

Bolero is probably the most highly fragrant rose in my zone 6B garden! The nice scent and its high petal count make this rose a great option. The white color gains a light pink tint when the rose blooms in cooler weather. I’ve grown mine in a pot for two years now; the shorter stature makes Bolero work well in containers. In its second year, the plant heavily bloomed early in the season, and it continued to bloom in flushes through October.

Bolero is a stunning white rose with an incredible fragrance that fills the garden. It took me a little while to understand the hype, but now I see why it’s so highly praised.
