A lesser know glorious gallica, Orpheline de Juillet is a show of large, very double flowers of crimson-purple, fiery red at base and white in the center. The bush is a little taller than most gallicas reaching upwards of six feet and will spread.

Shari McElhaney Telek –
This rose is very hardy. The color is incredible. It has different shades of purple in one flower. It requires very little care. Very nice fragrance. I love this rose.
Lisa Arrowood –
I had this rose for a few years, but it never really flourished. Nonetheless, the few blossoms I got were so beautiful, I’d love to plant it again. Such a cute little rose!

My Orpheline bloomed for the first time this year. Those flowers are so dark and absolutely stunning! This rose is growing strongly and doing well in my Zone 7 garden in light part shade. It’s in the running for my all-time favorite rose.
