Grandiflora (Christian Bédard and Tom Carruth, United States, before 2008)
No two flowers are exactly alike on this changeable chameleon of a rose. Black-red buds spiral open to show off swirls of cream edged & washed with vibrant cherry pink. But that’s not the end of the exhibit on these classically-formed fragrant flowers. When the sun strikes the petals, they begin to blush burgundy, finishing as a deep red. Put all this color against super-shiny-green foliage with nice long cutting stems and you’ve got a killer combo.

Gail Rouw –
You need to mention that Dick is a very long lasting rose and covers himself with roses. I have way over a hundred roses and he is one of my favorite. I’ll mention he’s very tolerant of heat and humidity also; not a problem in Colorado, right? 😁
Martha Bunn –
Strong plant. Stand out color. Disease resistant in my zone 8a garden. Delightful scent. I’m looking forward to his second year.
Ruth –
This is a very hardly large, tall, beautiful rose. The color is very pretty.
