Gary –
I have had this rose for three years now and find it to be very winter hardy, in fact I haven’t pruned it in all the time I have had it, as their is no die back from a zone 5 winter and it has developed into a large 8 ft. tall slightly arching shrub. What is interesting about this rose that I have is that the first blooms that come in May are all white and cover the bush from top to bottom with 4 to 5 inch blooms and the second flush comes in as a solid medium pink bloom no white at all. It doesn’t bloom much the rest of the year but always has a few blooms on it all year mostly pink through summer more towards white in the fall. I do fine that it has a slight fragrance but very mild but nice clean scent . One nice thing about this shrub is that is nearly thornless and makes it easy to mow around and I also don’t have to stake it as it looks fine as a large shrub. Since I haven’t had much luck with climbers this one is definitely a keeper.
