Rambler-Hybrid Wichuraiana (Hermann Albrecht Hesse, Germany, 1909)
Fräulein Octavia Hesse grows loose double blooms of creamy to light yellow, with a deeper golden-yellow center. The blossoms carry a delicate, apple-tinged fruity fragrance with a hint of tea-rose character. The shrub is hardy and may bloom occasionally as the plant matures.
Note: This rose is part of the American Rose Society’s “Save the Ramblers Initiative” focused on preserving the rare roses of Anne Belovich’s personal collection. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this rose will fund the ongoing preservation efforts of the American Rose Society.
