Mine is on it’s second year and it is HUGE. It is forever blooming and can handle my tough environment in Western North Carolina. The blooms don’t last long, but there are so many that it doesn’t matter to me. It is a beautiful color. I love it!

In my zone 6b garden, Colette has not had the best start. Since planting it in spring 2024, it has had mediocre cane growth and relatively limited flowering. Thinking it didn’t like its spot, which had heavier soil and maybe some root competition with a couple of established trees, I moved it during fall 2025. It already seems to be growing better. When it has bloomed, the buds formed earlier in the year. Little or no repeat blooming has happened. The bloom fragrance has been nice.
