Named for the Canadian Friar and Botanist Marie-Victorin (1885–1944) who was devoted to the study and classification of North-American plants. He was professor of botany at the University of Montreal and took part in the founding of the Montreal Botanical Garden. The rose Marie-Victorin is know for it’s unique peach-pink blooms and exceptional hardiness.
