Gloire de Guilan

Damask, (Unknown, before 1949).

Discovered in the rolling hills of Iran's Guilan province, this rose has a strong, lasting, fragrance that lends itself to potpourri and attar distillation. Large, quartered, and loosely double light pink blossoms cover this sprawling shrub in the late spring.
