Martin Frobisher

Hybrid Rugosa (Explorer
Series, 1968).

Fragrant, soft pink, double
blooms in mid-season repeat nicely. Vigorous, well-
proportioned shrub with grey-green foliage and red
fall color, growing with an upright vase shape to 6
feet. Very hardy.

This Canadian Explorer rose is named after Sir Martin Frobisher (c. 1535 or 1539 – 15 November 1594) an English seaman who made three voyages to the New World to look for the Northwest Passage. All landed in northeastern Canada, around today's Resolution Island and Frobisher Bay.
